Questions, answered honestly

Built by walking the whole site the way a founder actually does: landing cold, holding a code, waiting on a decision, admitted, declined. If your question is not here, raise a query - it lands directly with the Committee.

Adya Capital

Before you apply

What exactly is Adya Capital?

An invitation-curated founder network and funding desk. Members get the Fund Vault, the Founder Academy, curated communities, and the personal attention of the Partners of Adya Capital on shortlisted deals. Invited founders apply free. Open applications carry a one-time Rs 499 review fee.

Do I need an invitation code to apply?

No. You can apply without one - the Committee reads every application. A member's code simply moves you to the front of the queue: nominated founders are reviewed first.

Is applying free?

Invited founders apply free. If you apply without an invitation code through 'Apply anyway', there is a one-time Rs 499 review fee.

What does the Committee actually look for?

Real traction, founders who have already done the work, and a credible reason to be in the room. Most applications are declined - that is what keeps the room worth entering.

How do I get a member's code?

Every admitted member can nominate a small number of founders. Ask a founder who is already in. The Fund Vault and Communities pages are good places to meet one.

Applying

Where do I enter my invitation code?

On the start page, in the invitation field. No code? Choose "Apply anyway" - the same form opens, marked as an open application.

My code is not working. Why?

Three usual reasons: a typo (codes are exact, no spaces), the code's nominations are used up, or it is not an Adya code. If you are sure it is right, raise a query below with the code and we will check.

What is the difference between applying with and without a code?

Same application, same bar. A code changes the order of the queue, not the standard: nominated founders are read first. Without a code you are in the open lane.

How should I share my deck?

Best: a Drive link with access set to "Anyone with the link". Or upload a PDF (up to 10 MB). Aim for 10 to 15 slides: problem, solution, market, traction, business model, team, the ask.

Can I apply without a deck?

The application needs a deck or a link to one. If yours is rough, apply anyway once it says something true - a simple honest deck beats a polished empty one. The Founder Academy has a full module on what belongs in it.

After you apply

What happens after I submit?

The Committee reviews your application and emails you when there is a decision. You can also check your status page anytime with your email and ticket. Approved founders' details and startup information go to the Partners of Adya Capital - among the 10 deals they personally look after from the team's initial shortlist. Partner details and meeting timing and place are shared next.

How long does a decision take?

It depends on the queue. Nominated applications are read first. Check your status page - it always shows the live state.

I lost my ticket. What now?

Raise a query below with the email you applied with. We will locate your application and point you back to your status.

What do the statuses mean?

Under review: the Committee has not decided yet. Admitted: you are in - your personal code and member areas unlock. Declined: this application did not clear the bar.

Can I edit my application or deck after submitting?

Not directly - applications are read as submitted. If something material changed (a new pilot, a signed customer), raise a query and it will be attached to your file.

I was declined. Can I reapply?

Yes - but only with materially stronger traction. A resubmitted deck with the same numbers reads the same way twice.

Members

What do I get as a member?

The Fund Vault, the Founder Academy, curated communities, nomination rights, and the personal attention of the Partners of Adya Capital on shortlisted deals.

How do nominations work?

Each member starts with a small number of nominations. Your name stands behind each one, so nominate founders you would vouch for. Find your personal code on your status page.

How do I earn nominations back?

When a founder you nominated is admitted, one nomination is credited back automatically. Good judgment is rewarded.

What is the Founding Member badge?

The earliest cohort carries a Founding Member mark on their status card - the mark of the earliest cohort from day one.

Deck review

How is my deck evaluated?

Every submitted deck is scored against the Adya Deck Readiness Score: ten dimensions from problem clarity and unique insight to market sizing, moat, GTM, traction, team and the ask - the same framework the Committee teaches.

When and where do I get feedback?

Your score and a written breakdown appear on your status page, and a summary is emailed to you once reviewed - usually within 24 hours of evaluation. The feedback names what works, what to fix, and the top three priorities.

Trust

What do you do with my deck and data?

Your deck goes to the Committee and nowhere else. It is stored in a private folder, never shared outside the review, never used for anything except your application.

Is Adya affiliated with any fund or program?

Adya is independent. The Vault, Academy and Communities lists are curated on merit - nobody pays to be listed, nobody can buy a review.

Still stuck? Raise a query

This lands directly in the Committee's ledger, not a support inbox. If it needs a personal answer, it comes to your email.
